Prioritizing Parenting

How qualified are you to parent your children?

How comes we prepare so hard for job interviews and exams and other things that we deem important in life but not parenting?

How many parenting masterclasses have you attended as compared to the other classes you are taking to make yourself more marketable?

You are not alone, these are the same questions I am asking myself as I unpack what the Bible is calling me to do in regards to parenting.

Feel free to share the nuggets that you have learnt about parenting along the way.

Pause ⏸️

Life is fast. Life is moving at a faster rate than it did a few years back. We have so many balls to juggle as mothers and our juggling affects those around us greatly.
There is no harm in taking a pause and recalibrating. It's better to pause and breathe than get home rushed and winded. You'll give your family a 😔 instead of a smile 😁.

PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN: UNLIMITED PROVISION

Scripture: Matthew 6:11 AMP

Give us this day our daily bread.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for Your provision. Thank You because in Your Power, there is nothing that our children and their generation will lack. Thank You because You are providing all their needs and doors are opening for them in Jesus’ name. Thank You because You are providing all their needs- Philippians 4:19 AMP - And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We thank You because when they depend and are obedient to Your Word, the blessings of Deuteronomy 28:1-14 AMP shall be their portion in Jesus Name. We are grateful for your provision Lord. Thank You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Parenting & Grace

Grace is a word that comes from the Latin gratia. It means to be grateful and thankful. Out of the fullness of his grace he has blessed us all, giving us one blessing after another.

When we look at our children, we are looking at God's most generous endowment. They upstage any divine grace He gives. Before they were ours, they were His. Even as they are ours, they are still His.

There is no perfect example of grace than parenting. While grace comes with love and forgiveness, it also give parents plenty of room to encourage their children to pursue repentance.

Each time a parent prays, Christ responds.
